Highway Construction Project Announcement

Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure Project No. 12757‐2019 Asphalt Road Resurfacing H7: Harrison Mills – Harrison River Bridge to Pump House Bridge (19.8 Lane Km)

Job Site Description:

Okanagan Aggregates Ltd. would like to inform you that from May 27th to June 28th, 2019, road construction will take place on Highway 7 from the east end of Harrison River Bridge to the west end of Pump House Bridge.  

Work will be between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. No work will be performed  on  the  highway  during  the  long  weekends.    Okanagan  Aggregates  Ltd.  will  be  operating and maintaining single‐lane alternating traffic throughout the project. Traffic delays are  expected  to  be  minimal.  Okanagan  Aggregates  Ltd.  will  accommodate the passage of  Emergency vehicles through the work site as safely and expediently as possible.

Attention Fundraisers with FoodSafe & Experience! We are searching for a caterer to provide a healthy dinner at the Sts’ailes Open House.

Deadline to Apply is Friday May 24 @ 3 pm.

Date of Event: Thursday May 30th

Catering Details: Full course, healthy options, coffee, tea, dessert, ready for 6:00 pm at the Sts’ailes Community School Gym, for 200 people @ $15.00/plate = $3,000

Requirements: Mot-Free, gluten-free, no pork; provide copy of FoodSafe certification; Provide own food, equipment; must have experience catering large events

How It Works: All qualified applicants will be entered into a draw for the catering job. The winner will be announced on Friday May 24 at 4 pm on the Sts’ailes FaceBook page and at the Sts’ailes Store.
